Manifold:

Manifolds are actually a combination of several needle valves in a body that are connected to each other by different paths. By opening and closing the valves, the flow path changes. These equipments are usually made with different materials and different working pressures.

Manifold application:

Some instrumentation equipment, such as pressure gauges or thermometers, requires valves to separate it from process equipment. The presence of such valves allows repair or calibration operations to be performed without stopping the process. The temperature of this equipment must be in accordance with the specifications of the production process.

During calibration, the valve that connects the equipment to the measuring point is closed and the output of the pressure gauge is measured and adjusted if necessary by applying pressure by a pressure reference such as hand pumps.

Manifolds can withstand pressures up to 10000psi and can be used according to the technical specifications specified by the manufacturer.

Connection :

Manifold connection type can be Male or Female. And their gear type is usually NPT or BSP or metric standards. And their diameters vary from 1/8 to 2 inches.
